Self taught software engineer coding since I was 10 years old. Using the MAD (MongoDB, Angular/Typescript, Django/Python) stack.
I create cross-platform desktop applications using a variety of Technologies.
Web apps that'll make your mouth drop, created using Angular and Django.
Security is a passion of mine, security every application I create is a must!
In my role as a Backend Software Engineer with the AxiosHQ team, I specialize in crafting high-quality, scalable backend solutions using Python and Django. My expertise lies in leveraging the powerful capabilities of Django’s REST Framework to create robust APIs and backend services. This involves designing and implementing efficient data models, ensuring seamless data integration, and maintaining a strong focus on optimizing performance and security. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, I contribute to delivering seamless user experiences and supporting the sophisticated infrastructure that AxiosHQ is known for.
In my dynamic role at S.A.S. Services Group, I worked directly under the guidance of the CTO, managing several critical systems that were pivotal to our operations. I took pride in leading the Alpha team, responsible for our proprietary passenger tracking and reporting software, Alpha. As the head of this team, my responsibilities encompassed a wide range of activities including overseeing the development process, coordinating software updates, orchestrating roll-outs, conducting thorough testing, and refining UI design.
I played a crucial role in interfacing with client development teams from major airlines such as United Airlines, Southwest, Spirit, and Air Canada, facilitating seamless integration of our systems through REST API. My technical expertise was rooted in the MAD stack (MongoDB, Angular, Django), with a strong preference for coding in Python and TypeScript.
Beyond technical responsibilities, my role extended to managing client communications, primarily with airlines, and involved significant travel - often several months a year - to various stations and airports for hands-on management of application roll-outs. Additionally, I spearheaded proprietary projects and developed numerous internal applications and databases, widely used by over 100 staff daily. This role demanded a blend of technical acumen, project management skills, and client liaison, all of which I enthusiastically embraced in my contribution to the growth and efficiency of S.A.S. Services Group.
During my tenure at WebJoint, I was entrusted with the development of key proprietary backend software, primarily aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of our marketing strategies. My role involved the creation and implementation of two major projects that significantly contributed to the team's efficiency and outreach capabilities.
The first project was a sophisticated REST API-driven web scraper. This tool was meticulously designed to gather relevant data, offering valuable insights that informed and shaped our marketing efforts. The second, equally important, project was the development of an advanced email list validator and sorter. This system was engineered to process and validate a massive volume of over 500,000 emails. Its primary function was to meticulously filter and sort emails, effectively distinguishing active and deliverable addresses from inactive ones. This not only streamlined our marketing campaigns but also significantly enhanced the accuracy and effectiveness of our email outreach.
In this role, I combined technical expertise with a deep understanding of marketing needs, delivering solutions that were not just technologically sound but also aligned perfectly with our strategic objectives at WebJoint.
At LA Hacks my team and I created Juli. Juli is a Chrome extension that my team and I created that makes all of your accounts unhackable with virtually zero work on the users part. LA Hacks is a 3 day hackathon hosted by UCLA in Los Angeles, CA. There were over 1,500 coders and almost 500 teams. Out of 150 submitted projects, ours was awarded top 12 - 20 projects.
